JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Architecture seeks applicants for a non-tenure line teaching position at the rank ofLecturer. This position is a full-time, term, 36-week appointment starting in Fall 2025.

Candidates should show commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment, engagement with fellow faculty members in ways that contribute to a scholarly community on campus, active leadership in campus life, and engagement in the community through outreach activities that address regional needs are required. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the use of instructional technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and instruction in architecture studios and 3 credit support courses. Teaching load will be up to three courses per semester, which includes one studio per semester maximum.
  • In addition to teaching, responsibilities may include advising students, participating in committees, and other service and scholarly activities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • A terminal degree in architecture is required (M. Arch; D. Arch; Ph.D.). Candidates with professional experience and architectural licensure are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence.
