Job Description: Skin Flipper

Prep/Operate Skin Bundle Flipper, move cullboards on/off bundle flipper and skin tracks WITH a partner, remove and stack runners off bundle flipper, dispose of packaging material in appropriate waste bins, read tickets/schedules to determine correct materials, count /stack skins onto cull board in correct orientation and in order of the schedule , inspect and record reject skins, inspect and return flush skins to cutback rack, record schedule # line # stack # date and initials on each stack of skins, flip over the top skin on skin stacks to be restocked.

Knowledge

Knowledge of all skin species, attention to detail in identifying skin defects, quality specs, pass/no pass parameters, read/interpret tickets/schedules and read a tape measure up to 1/16".

Skill

Read/ interpret production tickets and schedules, accuracy in identifying skin species/size/counts, perform visual quality checks, read tape measure to 1/16", safe operation of a skin bundle flipper and moving cull boards.

Responsibility

Minimal supervision, verify quality/accuracy/count of materials. Inspect and record skin rejects.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with a partner, bending, twisting, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling skin stacks/cull boards. Standing for long continuous hours.

Mental Demands

Minimal - Concentration on material accuracy, quality, and counts.

Social

Ability to work with a partner.

Working Conditions

Mildly controlled environment - can expect cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. Constant attention to surroundings due to multiple conveyor tracks.
