Per Diem Psychiatrist, Salem Hospital About Salem Hospital: Salem Hospital, formerly North Shore Medical Center, is a community hospital located in Salem, Massachusetts. As a member of Mass General Brigham, we are affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and are part of the largest integrated health care system between Boston and Portland, Maine. Position Overview: We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists to join our Behavioral Health team on a per diem basis. This role is ideal for experienced psychiatrists or psychiatry residents (PGY-3 and above) with an unrestricted Massachusetts medical license. Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care for inpatient population. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans. Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Qualifications: MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Unrestricted Massachusetts medical license. Completion of PGY-3 year or higher in an accredited psychiatry residency program. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
