Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordination of teaching activities for the NYU Department of Psychiatry including weekly grand rounds, monthly behavioral/psychology ground rounds, summer lecture series, continuing medical education courses, and state teaching programs. Responsible for providing a broad range of program coordination. Facilitates the administration of departmental activities including scheduling meetings, planning, organizing and coordinating seminars, training and other related activities.
Job Responsibilities: Organize all aspects of weekly Grand Rounds series featuring NYU Langone thought leaders and others on topics including evidence-based clinical updates in psychiatric care, cutting-edge research in psychiatric disorders and treatment, and mental health delivery services including, lecture-schedule management, coordination with speakers, overseeing all CME compliance components, and facilitating lecture Q&A. Facilitate conflict of interest forms, objectives for lectures, and RSC announcements. Assist with Continuing Education (CE) compliance for Psychology events and organize monthly behavioral health ground rounds offering psychology CE credits; communicate policies and procedures to faculty/staff to obtain CE credit. Assist with Continuing Education (CE) re-accreditation for psychologists, set up systems and processes to monitor/maintain compliance. Coordinate the summer lecture series. Prepare reimbursement forms for guest speakers honorarium and travel expenses. Maintain records for all departmental teaching activities. Submit educational grant requests to support grand rounds program as needed. Update NYUGSOM calendar with Psychiatry grand rounds/behavioral rounds schedule. Scheduling of departmental conferences, seminars, CME courses, and other teaching activities. Process required paperwork for affiliated state teaching programs. Coordinate logistics and technical support for streaming of grand rounds and behavioral psychology rounds for affiliated state teaching programs. Update continuing medical education content on departmental website as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field. Two years of experience coordinating Project/Programs or programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
