Project Manager with Aviation Architecture Experience

BA is hiring an Architectural Project Manager to join our dynamic Aviation Architecture team in our Coral Gables office. This position is responsible for providing overall management direction for existing or new projects and supervising project team members. Ideal candidates will have experience in aviation, transportation, or large-scale commercial projects.

Direct project team, ensure client compliance with contract terms, and monitor sub-consultants' compliance with contractual commitments.
• Meet with clients to direct project requirements and obtain all information to prepare project documents.
• Negotiate contracts and prepare fee proposals.
• Has primary responsibility for scheduling, planning, design, specification, and working drawings on a given project with authority to direct, control, organize, interpret, and monitor all activities.
• Prepare project work plan, schedule and budget, and communicate these to project team members; monitor/manage project production for compliance with schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Monitor reports and schedules to ensure appropriate charging of man-hours, costs and expenses to projects, and to communicate project progress/status to senior management.
• Prepare contracts with sub-consultants. Monitor sub-consultants' progress and performance; review and approve sub-consultants' and vendor invoices.
• Schedule and coordinate project meetings with the project team, regulatory agencies, the client, and others involved with the project
• Coordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promote firm's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients
• Supervise technical professionals and design staff.

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the design of airport, transportation or other large scale commercial projects preferred
• Bachelor's degree in architecture; master's degree a plus
• Florida Architectural License preferred, or NCARB certification
• LEED accreditation preferred
• PMP Certification preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of project management and ability to facilitate technical discussions when needed
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk
• Be able to effectively communicate in both internal and external relationships for all essential job functions
• Be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of project information and data
• Must be able to travel up to 25% for local, regional, and national clients and projects
