LEAD STARLINK PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN (PHASED ARRARY) - 1ST SHIFT

One of the most ambitious missions that SpaceX has undertaken to date, the Starlink satellite constellation, is our solution to providing reliable internet to the entire world. We are looking for talented lead technicians to help full-scale production of the Starlink satellites. The success of Starlink depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver. RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead satellite production team to achieve daily production.
  • Assist with the development of production processes, and identify continuous improvements to reliably achieve production targets.
  • Communicate daily output and slowdowns, and escalate production blockers.
  • Forecast futureworkload toensure technicians have the tools and materials needed to perform job functions.
  • Train technicians on all required tasks and processes, and provide feedback on their technique and efficiency.
  • Comply, maintain, and enforce 5S principles in the production area and company safety standards.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 6+ months as a SpaceX Technician or 1+ year of experience in an outside aerospace production environment.


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Experience as a technician in a mechanical capacity and/or working with SpaceX vehicle integration operations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed schematics, drawings, and instructions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook).
  • Ability to adapt to constant changing work assignments and a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.
  • In-depth understanding of SpaceX enterprise systems (Warpdrive).


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be able to work 1st shift hours, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time: 5AM-3:30PM
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Level 2: $25.00 - $31.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential
Level 3: $29.00 - $37.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential
Level 4: $34.00 - $42.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Non-exempt Washington employees are eligible for sick leave in accordance with Washington's Sick Leave policies. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
