Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Syracuse, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to manage our computer systems and networks supporting the Production floor, personnel, and operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our computer systems and networks, as well as providing technical support to production personnel.
  • Computer Systems and Network Management:
    1. Manage and maintain special computer systems and networks supporting the Production floor, including hardware, software, and infrastructure.
    2. Ensure system stability, security, and efficiency, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
    3. Collaborate with the IT department to ensure alignment with company-wide IT strategies and policies.
  • Technical Support:
    1. Provide technical support to production personnel, including training and assistance with computer systems and software applications.
    2. Develop and maintain documentation for computer systems and networks, including user manuals and technical guides.
  • Manufacturing Operations Support:
    1. Work closely with production teams to ensure computer systems and networks are aligned with manufacturing operations and goals.
    2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Cybersecurity:
    1. Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity policies and procedures.
    2. Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect computer systems and networks.
  • Project Management:
    1. Manage projects related to computer systems and network upgrades, implementations, and migrations.
    2. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution..

  • Pay rate: $20.00-$50.00/Hour
  • Hours: 5/40-1st Shift
  • Length: Temp (12 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operating computer systems, networks, manufacturing operations and infrastructure, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on computer systems and networks.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with cybersecurity principles and practices.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
