Will process and ship orders on computer. Must be able to read descriptions and count to ensure the order is correct before processing. Will also be responsible for stacking the orders the process on a pallet near their station. Check the quality of finished product prior to packing. * Pack finished product into proper cartons. * Proficient in all shipping operations. * Excellent language and communication skills. * Adequate PC knowledge. * Able to read instructions and comprehend specifications and format in English. * Must be detail oriented and accurate in writing and numbers. * Must possess basic mathematical and keyboard skills. * Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds. * Seal and label cartons. * Stock cartons on pallets in the prescribed manner. * Maintain adequate supplies of cartons, chipboards, filler pads, and tape at the work station. * Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area. * Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. * Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. * Distributes items to production workers. * Marks materials with identifying information. * Opens bales, crates, and other containers. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Initiative - Volunteers readily; Seeks increased responsibilities, Asks for and offers help when needed. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
