How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is adiverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Material Handler your main responsibility will be to physically move material to its proper location and transact movements in ERP system.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities to SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Physically move inventory from incoming Receiving and QAto stock locations or Production as required.
  2. Transact inventory movements in ERPSystem
  3. Manage manual FIFO system
  4. Pick production ordes for production and sub-contractors
  5. Assist other departments with part questions and part requirements
  6. Cycle count and assist in yearly physical inventory
  7. Pick customer spare orders
  8. Will need to use a forkflift and aerial lift to move product

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • Data Entry experience (Sap experience is a plus)
  • Able to read and write simple instructions and simple correspondence.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Standup Forklift and Aerial Lift experience.
  • Prior warehouse experience

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel & Working Environment

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range

We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $19.00-$21.00/hour and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate's experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At SPX, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus, subject to the rules governing the plan.
