WebSphere Admin Location: Anywhere in United States (remote) Roles & Responsibilities: * Proven experience as a WebSphere Application Server Administrator and IBM MQ * Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server environments, including Network Deployment (ND) configurations. * In-depth knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server architecture, administration, and troubleshooting. * Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. * Perform performance tuning and optimization of WebSphere Application Server, JVMs, and related components. * Manage the deployment of Java EE applications, including configuration of application resources (e.g., data sources, JMS queues). * Implement and manage security policies and configurations within WebSphere, including user roles, SSL certificates, and integrations with security systems (e.g., LDAP). * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WebSphere Application Server and deployed applications, including root cause analysis. * Apply patches, fix packs, and perform upgrades of WebSphere Application Server and related software. * Develop and maintain automation scripts using scripting languages (e.g., Jython, Shell) to streamline administrative tasks. * Collaborate with development teams on application deployments, environment configurations, and troubleshooting. * Maintain comprehensive documentation of WebSphere environments, configurations, and procedures. * Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for WebSphere environments. * Administer and maintain IBM HTTP Server (IHS) or other web server integrations with WebSphere. * Work with monitoring tools (e.g., Tivoli Performance Viewer, AppDynamics, New Relic) to ensure system health and performance. * Manage WebSphere clusters and load balancing configurations for high availability and scalability. * MQ admin to interact with enterprise apps via IIB - Repricer, EPDB, AEPays * REST API services configuration and maintenance in the IBM i environment * MQ admins with IBM i / AS400 experience Required skills- IBM i - WAS / MQ Admin, Certificate Manager, Rest API Good to have - MQ admins with IBM I / AS400 experience and with a bit of WAS ***Applications will be accepted till 4/29/25 Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position [$99,000 to $130,000] is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
