Job Summary:
The Vice President of Strategy and Operations will be responsible for driving the growth and development of patient-centric solutions. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, a strong strategic vision, and the ability to leverage relationships to achieve growth targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the SVP of Engagement Center and the EC Senior leadership, define and collaborate on the development of innovative patient support programs, including medical information, inbound customer support, patient education, reimbursement support, and copay assistance programs.
- Align initiatives with broader organizational goals to ensure overall business growth and market leadership.
- Drive revenue generation through innovative program offerings and optimize pricing and service delivery models in coordination with SVP and EC Senior Leadership.
- Implement best practices to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of operations globally.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, FDA, and other relevant laws and industry standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Consulting, Sales, Medical, Communications, Regulatory Affairs, Privacy, Compliance, and Legal, to drive alignment and ensure seamless execution of Engagement Center Services.
- Leverage deep industry expertise to build and develop relationships, representing the organization with key customers and industry stakeholders.
- Build relationships with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and parts of the world.
- Collaborate and/or leverage the BD team to gain access to key decision-makers to drive the narratives around virtual engagement, particularly around medical information and patient support programs.
- Partner with internal IT and product teams.
- Provide overall thought leadership and subject matter expertise to drive the narrative around the value of our offerings, continuing to grow market awareness and secure new business wins, both existing and new logos.
- Provide active consulting and collaborative problem-solving support, tailoring strategies to drive desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to drive cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment and build successful relationships with various stakeholders.
- Continuously explore ways to improve performance, setting and working to achieve performance goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; MS or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 20+ years of relevant industry experience within healthcare, biotech, and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in leading large scale operations of patient support services or patient access programs, including client-facing responsibilities and operational leadership.
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets and delivering innovative solutions.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, reimbursement models, regulatory requirements, and patient access challenges.
- Experience across therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Immunology, or rare diseases.
- Deep understanding of access and patient out-of-pocket dynamics, including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance design.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of data analytics and digital tools used in call center operations.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $174,000 to $220,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
