We Require

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Three years of responsible administrative and/or technical support experience

Job Contributions

  • Enter application details, update data throughout the plan review process, and accurately in the permit management software

  • Compile project documentation, including: application forms, civil construction plans, engineering cost estimates, required checklists, waiver forms, and issue construction permits via permit management software

  • Review permit submittals for administrative accuracy and completeness according to A.R.S. 11-1605

  • Answer customer-related inquiries in person, by phone, and by email. Assist customers with submittal requirements and standard permit processing questions. Refer technical questions to the appropriate Engineering staff

  • Process construction-related insurance and financial bond documents. Coordinate with the County Attorney to secure legal approval before permit issuance

Working Conditions

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

Machines, tools, equipment, software, and hardware

  • Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary permitting software, computer, printer, and scanner

  • Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
