DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Aging Care Manager 1 position is a trainee opportunity in which you will participate in formal and on-the-job training in the methods, procedures, policies, and regulations governing the agency for the service provision of vulnerable consumers. Within this role, you will be expected to participate in professional development, exercise initiative and independent judgment in discharging assignments, seek advice as necessary, and assist with the more unusual and difficult cases. You will obtain information from the consumer, the consumer's family members, neighbors, and other persons necessary for the identification of social, economic, emotional, health, or physical problems in order to best assist the consumer.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- You may be required to be on a standby rotation for off-hours coverage.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
Other Requirements:

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Westmoreland County. If no eligible candidates who live within Westmoreland County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
