The Position The Opportunity

As a Research Associate III, you are responsible for conducting research, development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation, as well as other scientific activities to support Roche Ventana projects. Through exercising technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments, you will contribute to project strategies.

Additionally, in this role you are:

  • Designing experimental protocols and performing bench experiments. You will be working on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Troubleshooting problems and instituting corrective action.
  • Presenting and discusses results of experiments within department and project team. Preparing technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
  • Maintaining high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and may participate in conferences and professional societies. You are the recognized expert for area of expertise.
  • Participating in cross functional technical teams such as a failure investigation or core team. You will apply your judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Recognizing and documenting activities for publication and/or patent potential.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to work processes and laboratory environment.
  • Following company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, Design Control and others as appropriate.
Who You Are
  • You have a Bachelor's in Science
  • You have 4 years of relevant related experience, knowing a wide range of experimental techniques and skilled in their applications.You are capable with searching scientific literature to gain general and specific information.
  • Preferred: Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson is 68,300.00- 126,800.00Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
