The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse including the coordination and supervision of warehouse activities of an assigned work team. The position ensures the efficiency of daily warehouse functions and assigned staff. The role is directly responsible for assigned warehouse operators to ensure consistency with service, quality, cost, and efficiency objectives.The Warehouse Supervisor will alternate between opening and closing the facility per the warehouse schedule to meet customer demands.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Monitors and directs all activities related to the assigned work team for the receiving of all inbound products to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of all customer orders.
- Processes all cross-dock shipments, working with the other Supervisor to coordinate regular shipments are consolidated with cross-dock shipments.
- Works closely with the logistics team on inbound freight and the warehouse office staff to support office functions as well as customer service requirements.
- Measures and reports on the effectiveness of warehousing activities.
- Responsible for all aspects of training for assigned work team, i.e. training for existing or new processes as well as training documentation.
- Responsible for monthly process and operator audits.
- Helps to determine staffing levels and assigns workloads for each work team. Hands-on to assist as a backup when needed.
- Communicates job expectations and coaches employees.
- Supervises adherence to the warehouse, safety, and quality policies, regulations, and procedures. Assists in establishing or adjusting existing work, safety, and operational procedures and practices by identifying areas of improvement.
- Supports warehouse when labels malfunction, reprints labels, and ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities
- Backup for other supervisor as necessary.
- Acts as a backup for all key warehouse operations including shipping and receiving functions.
- Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience or equivalent experience in warehousing operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to demonstrate skills in leading and motivating subordinate employees.
- Ability to effectively evaluate and respond appropriately to situations to the benefit of the customer and to the company.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems as well as demonstrate time-management skills.

- Bachelor's degree in business management, industrial management or related field
- Proficiency using Supply Chain software (i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.)
