Distribution Support Supervisor I

Bio-Rad is seeking a Distribution Support Supervisor I to organize, plan, manage & control the daily activities related to the release (waving) and coordination of outbound shipments, deliveries and orders. As a Supervisor, you may be asked ti respond to customer complaints related to shipments and orders from Distribution Centers. You will monitor and ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments and responses within defined service levels, and remain compliant with safety and 5S standards, internal and external procedures and policies.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Ensures all activities are properly executed within agreed quality and service levels and following internal and external policies, procedures and standards. This includes but isn't limited to:
  
  
  • Release (waving) of orders.
  • Daily monitoring if all orders that should be shipped are shipped and processed. Ensure / initiate action when not and analyze reasons why.
  • Daily follow-up on POD's. Ensure / initiate action when not and analyze reasons why.
  • Coordination and execution of all shipments.
  • Coordination and execution of all Export shipments (incl. booking transport and creation of applicable documents).
  
  
  
  
• Daily follow-up on distribution complaints for shipments.
• Ensures and monitors RBS batch allocation for all orders.
• Supervision of Order Entry for Channel Partners and Inter companies.
• Strong co-operation with Global Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, RA/QA/QC, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Finance.
• Monitors outbound deliveries, Transportation Units, STOs and sales orders in SAP (ECC and EWM).
• Organize and plan the work of the team including volume, priorities and seasonality.

What You'll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Courses in Logistics Management or related field helpful.
• Work Experience: 3-5 year experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment or related industry, with emphasis in inventory control, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions in English.
• Basic math, problem solving and computer skills. Experience with ERP System, preferred
• Possesses positive attitude; Ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Experience using radio frequency equipment, a plus.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures
• Knowledge international shipping procedures.
• Where applicable, knowledge of GMP, ISO, IPC, FDA, DOT, and/or IATA requirements.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and proper handling techniques.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,500 to $100,050 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
