Location:Education Training and Development Center -12451 Gateway BlvdFort Myers FL 33913 Department: IS Information Technology Svcs Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:30:00 AM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.36 - $39.47 / hour SummaryThis role participates in configuration and troubleshooting of Voice and Data connected endpoints all while carrying out daily incident management for staff, projects, and break fix requests. The Network Technician provides operational support for the following: IDF closets, routers, switches, power equipment, analog / IP phones, LAN / WAN, and ISP provided services. Additional responsibilities include traveling to nearby offsite locations, assisting in project deployments, maintaining inventory, and performing maintenance requests. This position requires great listening, troubleshooting, and communication skills. RequirementsEducation: Highschool Diploma required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience working with network infrastructure: routing & switching required. Cisco CLI experience is required for this position. i.e.: the ability to access switches/routers, make configuration changes, troubleshoot, activating and describing ports etc. Additional experience working with IP based phones, supporting Cisco Call Manager, Cisco CLI, Microsoft suites and Service Now preferred. Certification: Industry certifications preferred (i.e. Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST), Comp TIA Network+). License: N/A Other: Knowledge of medium to large sized networks voice and data, operational functions and MACs. Knowledge of network routing, protocols, IEEE standards, OSI Model necessary.
