Position Summary

The Lead Project Manager (US) ensures every project aligns with organizational goals and timelines, safely accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. This pivotal role involves harmonizing diverse teams, managing resources with finesse, and maintaining seamless communication with all stakeholders to guarantee projects flow smoothly from conception to delivery.

As the conductor of the project lifecycle, you'll ensure that objectives are met within the specified constraints of time, cost, and quality. Your expertise in project management methodologies will empower you to adapt to various challenges, making strategic decisions that guide projects to successful outcomes. You'll foster a culture of collaboration and innovation among team members, turning project visions into reality and ensuring customers receive quality products and services that meet or exceed all requirements.

This is an office US based position with a hybrid work schedule remotely and/or another designated geographicarea as needed. Ability to travel domestically and international as assigned.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Budget and Forecasting: Set up and monitor project budgets, provide revenue and cost advice, and engage in forecasting.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules with detailed work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Project Management: Providing guidance and support to Project Managers on assigned projects and teams, ensuring progress on schedule and within budget. Identify and resolve issues to mitigate downtime or delays.
  • Customer Interaction: Assist customers with design ideas and specifications, conduct presentations, and support sales and marketing activities.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with Operations Lead and Sales/Commercial personnel in developing bids and proposals. Review and approve quality plans and technical procedures.
  • Planning: Establish work plans and staffing for project phases, outline work plans, and assign duties and responsibilities.
  • Execution: Direct and coordinate project activities, review status reports, and adjust schedules as needed. Approve documents related to customer specifications.
  • Procurement: Oversee requisitions and review supplier invoices.
  • Reporting: Prepare technical and financial reports, including project reports, forecasts, and variance explanations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical advice and resolve problems in conjunction with Technical Support.
  • Invoicing: Review and approve project invoices, assist with accounts receivable issues.
  • Travel: Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Training: Maintain training requirements as directed by management.
  • Commercial Collaboration: Work closely with the Commercial Department on ITTs and bid submissions, ensuring defined scope and technical competencies.
  • Client Presentations: Present new technologies or solutions to clients.
  • Compliance: Implement HSE and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Verify system compliance with technical, operational, quality, and HSE bulletins.
  • Team Management: Manage assigned team of Project Managers, establish and report KPIs, and support Service Excellence in system verification.
  • Operations Coordination: Work with Operations Lead on crew evaluations, assignments, and improvement opportunities. Support offshore equipment upgrades and maintain interaction for personnel promotions and competency engagement.
  • HSSE Support: Address HSSE issues and initiatives, send audit action updates, and match downtime reports.
  • Customer Support: Provide support to collections with respect to customer interfaces and interactions.
  • Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • 8 plus years' experience in Survey practice or demonstrates the equivalent skill level and knowledge to perform the required duties.
  • Minimum Five (5) years Project Management experience and/or training, experience managing survey and positioning services preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Evidence of a strong business acumen
  • Must possess computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Ability to learn and navigate in PeopleSoft or similar enterprise management software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Customer Relationship
  • Management (CRM) software.
  • Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.

DESIRED:

  • A minimum of Ten (10) years' experience in Survey practice or demonstrates the equivalent skill level and knowledge to perform the required duties.
  • Bachelor of Science in a Geomatics or Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Offshore operational activities.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
