In the role of Senior Geologist, we'll count on you to
- Lead complex site investigations with a focus on contaminated sediment and waterway sites and projects;
- Oversee data collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation including:
- Developing site investigation work plans
- Building complex and dynamic Conceptual Site Models
- Developing and overseeing high resolution site characterization strategies
- Soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling and quality data collection methods
- Development of geologic cross-sections utilizing geologic and geophysical data
- Geospatial and geostatistical analysis
- Isotope analysis
- Interpretation of subsurface geologic conditions on a site and regional scale
- Development of graphic presentations of geologic data
- Leading the development of site investigation, remedial investigation, and design investigation reports
- Lead the assessment of environmental contamination with a focus on the management and/or remediation of contaminated source areas
- Be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity.
- Project management including direction of junior staff, providing technical review and oversight and mentoring
- Report and proposal preparation including scopes of work, project budgeting, tracking, and schedules
- Client interaction and presentations
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sediment or dredging contaminated materials management
- Experience with sediment remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial designs
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology or closely related field
- A minimum of 10 years experience with a successful track record of marketing, project management, staff management and client satisfaction, business development skills, familiarity of local clients and markets
- Advanced degree may offset years of experience
- Prior experience with field work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Leadership skills and ability to manage in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- May require ability to travel
