The Digital Devices Manager is responsible for Global Product Management of sensing and Monitoring which includes sensors and edge devices used to monitor and acquire signals from high-voltage products and transformers. The focus of the role is on integrating cutting-edge IoT sensing technologies to deliver robust, scalable digital edge solutions for both existing (internally manufactured and third-party) and future primary assets.

Reporting to the Digital Service Product Manager, this role collaborates closely with all stakeholders within Digital Service Solutions team (Digital Strategy, Global Product Care, Operations & Support) and with the broader Service BU Strategy Functions (i.e., Global Product Groups (GPGs), Strategy & Innovation, Technology). As an individual contributor, the Manager will identify and champion innovation for existing monitoring devices and next-generation edge device solutions, leading projects from initial exploration through the entire product development lifecycle (gate process), ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with the Service digital portfolio strategy.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Innovation: Identify initiatives to enhance the Sensing & Monitoring (S&M) performance and collaborate with R&D and external partners to discover new technological solutions and develop roadmaps for future product offerings.
  • Digital Asset Product Management: Own product management for the Sensing & Monitoring (S&M) portfolio of BU Service. Deeply understand the customer value, market & business opportunity, and technology gap needed to enable the connected-asset vision: instrument assets, transmit performance & health data, and extract value from ingested data .
  • Process Governance: Ensure compliance with company and Service BU standards around technology and product development. Champion process innovation where applicable to accelerate product mgmt. roadmap.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Reporting: Oversee product management and technology process, ensuring data fidelity & consistency, and facilitating effective mgmt. reporting and analysis.
  • Standardization: Implement and enforce standardized processes for S&M product tracking and performance evaluation, ensuring effective integration with digital tools and technologies.
  • KPI Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product performance, leveraging data-driven insights for continuous improvement in digital asset performance.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Business Case: Define Business cases and follow-up on the results after implementation
  • Budget Management: Oversee and optimize the budget for product management initiatives, through roadmap and prioritization.

Collaboration & Governance:

  • Cross-Functional Alignment and Execution: Serve as the primary liaison between BU's global product management functions, global Digital Product Care and regional stakeholders, ensuring cohesive execution of product strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with the Lifecycle Manager, Digital Offerings Manager, R&D, primary asset factories and product management and other functions (engineering, quality, service, digital transformation) to ensure asset management practices support overall business objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies in all asset management activities.
