Job Description

At Rockwell Automation, you will be joining an incredible team of talented individuals who strive for best in class. We have an opening in Twinsburg Ohio for a Machinist responsible for maintaining machine shop equipment. Identifying and repairing minor machine functions. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Communicate with outside groups such as engineering and production.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30a-2:30p

May perform one or more of the following:

  • Adhere to Rockwell Automation Safety Standards and Policies and perform work in a safe and professional manner.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and machine prints to aid in machine troubleshooting and repair.
  • Respond to emergency work requests from production in a timely manner.
  • Monitor spare parts inventories, complete paperwork to replace parts removed from stock and make recommendations of inventory levels to assure parts availability.
  • Assist in equipment move and rearrange and new equipment installations as directed by Supervisors or Project Engineers.
  • Perform assigned job functions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Comply with the written procedures if effect to maintain ISO Certification.
  • Implements solutions and performs design to include hardware.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
  • Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
  • Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
  • Frequently interacts with peers and customers to exchange or present factual information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic reading, writing and computer literacy
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of use of basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read schematics/blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree
  • Welding Experience
