POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: In this position, tasks will be completed using the Best Care Best Experience approach which is foundational in all we do. Provides a clean and safe environment for patients to receive care and staff to provide care. Cleans and services all areas of the hospital according to established procedures. Moves supplies throughout the hospital. Will also move light equipment or furniture occasionally per department set up request. Will perform a variety of environmental services and cleaning duties to help maintain the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Functions as a housekeeper in the Housekeeping department |

Empties solid and recycling waste on a daily basis Strips and removes soiled linen on a daily basis. Replenishes supplies, i.e. soap, paper towels, etc. High dusts/damp wipes/sanitizes surfaces. Disinfects all hard surfaces with a focus on the most frequently touched surfaces. Maintains all carpeted and hard floor surfaces. Follows instructions of director, manager, supervisor or lead.

Consistently uses hospital approved disinfectant and follows proper dilution recommended. Properly uses all other cleaning chemicals. Handles equipment in a safe manner to reduce damage to equipment and injury to self. Moves equipment out of traffic areas when not in use.

Consistently uses the proper Personal Protective Equipment required for the job at all times. Follows all universal and isolation precautions, including all written or verbal instructions. Follows all infection control guidelines and policies. Uses recommended hand washing guidelines.
