Modular Assembler

Mazak Corporation is hiring a Modular Assembler to join the Assembly department located at our headquarters in Florence, Ky. The Modular Assembler will put together mechanical and electrical subassemblies for installation on machine tools manufactured by Mazak. This is a first shift position.

Summary: To put together mechanical and electrical subassemblies for installation on machine tools manufactured by Mazak.

Essential functions:

• Complete mechanical subassemblies hydraulic units, manifolds, chiller units
• Complete mechanical subassemblies of sheet metal to be installed on machine tools
• Complete electrical subassemblies on control cabinets, pumps, and control monitors
• Inspect sheet metal parts for errors
• Operate crane to lift and install heavy items
• Use walk behind forklift to transport parts
• Use a variety of hand tools, including drills, grinders, and air-powered tools, when completing subassemblies
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required
• Previous work experience involving machine tools
