Job Description Summary:

The Associate Program Manager supports the Electronic Systems Growth and Capture organization in execution of its support of business development for Electronic Systems as a whole. The position works under the guidance of the Director and Program Manager for Growth and Capture who carry the responsibility of supporting business development for the four sub-business areas of Electronic Systems. We are actively seeking an associate program manager with a diverse set of skills, strong business knowledge and financial acumen. The Associate Program Manager will:
*Develop and maintain pipeline analytics, monitor data integrity of the underlying systems, and support reviews of opportunities and product line data for Electronic Systems.
*Support Growth and Capture to establish, maintain and execute the Electronic Systems business area strategy and business plan to capture new business and attain the Electronic Systems business goals.
*Help Electronic Systems business areas to plan and track resource expenditure employed to achieve Electronic Systems business goals as identified in the Electronic Systems Strategy and Integrated Business Plan and assists the business areas to optimize resource utilization to maximize Return On Investment (ROI) across the Integrated Business Plan five-year and Strategy ten-year time frame
*Provide quantified input data describing Electronics Systems progress toward business goals to be captured in quarterly Integrated Business Plan, Quarterly Business Review, and yearly Business Strategy updates.
*Maintain a calendar of critical Electronic Systems business pursuits and tracks accomplishments towards key milestones in the capture plan for each pursuit.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
* Assists in the development of project documentation to include, but not limited to, program plans, schedules, statements of work, risk tracking, purchase requisitions.
* Performs data entry and management using prescribed business tools.
* Works with the technical team to implement and update Program Plans and Integrated Master Schedule.
* Maintains actions and problem tracking systems
* Ability to apply basic administrative principles.
* Ability to learn new principles and learn Draper's business tools.
* Works under the supervision of the Associate Director for Portfolio Execution and the assigned program manager.
* Regularly interacts with project team staff.
* Effectively conveys work results to the project team and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with management and peers on routine matters.

Skills/Abilities
* Ability to apply basic program management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project/program activities to meet the successful delivery and of execution of assigned programs.
* Ability to organize programmatic information for effective planning, execution, project monitoring and control, and decision* making
* Ability to integrate team member inputs into reports and presentations for, and as directed, by the program manager.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.

Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering, Technical, or Business field of study

Experience
3-5 years of professional experience in program management.

Additional Job Description:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of the business development environment for contractors in the Defense and Intelligence communities is preferred
  • Strong business acumen, MBA desirable
  • Ability to work across the organization and build relationships

Strong analytic skills and ability to integrate inputs and analyses into reports and draw conclusions; present results at varying levels of management.
