Job Summary: Grady Health System is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization, and providing strategic financial guidance to support Grady's mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Financial Leadership: Oversee and provide strategic direction and leadership for financial functions, including governmental reimbursement, managed care, decision support, budgeting, and financial planning, and analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: Provides support to accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the development and management of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement long-term financial strategies that support the growth and sustainability of Grady Health System.
  • Governmental Reimbursement: Lead and oversee all aspects of governmental reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and strategic initiatives to optimize reimbursement and mitigate financial risk.
  • Managed Care: Provide financial oversight and strategic guidance for managed care contracting, including analysis of payer performance, negotiation support, and evaluation of reimbursement models to ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the organization's financial stability and integrity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, auditors, and financial institutions.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Attributes: High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
