About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities
* Assist with the recruiting process for Intercollegiate Athletics to include:
* Preparing offer letters
* Submitting background checks
* Data entry of personnel, job, and payroll information into the University's Human
Resource Management System (HRMS)
* Provide administrative support to Athletics HR team/Athletics Business Office
* Assist with daily mail
* Revise and create organizational charts for departments within Intercollegiate Athletics
* Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

* Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google applications
* Must be able to work independently, efficiently, and accurately with minimal supervision
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work 15-20 hours per week spread over four or five business days.
Position requires working on-site at the Land O'Lakes Center for Excellence, 516
15th Avenue SE, Mpls. Ability to start working in mid to late May and work through
the end of August, along with the ability to work 10-15 hours per week spread over
four or five business days starting in the academic year.

Preferred
* Educational or work experience in Human Resources
* Experience working with confidential data

About the Department

The Department of Athletic Human Resources (Athletic HR) serves as a strategic partner within the University of Minnesota Athletic Department, supporting the development, engagement, and well-being of all athletic staff and personnel. This department collaborates closely with university-wide HR and compliance units to ensure alignment with institutional policies, NCAA regulations, and Big Ten Conference standards. Focused on cultivating a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and compliance, Athletic HR plays a key role in recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining a diverse and talented workforce that supports Gopher Athletics' mission of academic and athletic achievement.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Student workers are eligible to participate in the Student Health Benefit Plan, if they maintain 6 or more eligible course credits within a given semester. The same applies for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Assistants, Residents, Fellows and Interns.
