Summary: The Data Analyst/Programmer will develop new software programs and applications to support OHWS data management needs including designing user interfaces, data structures, and system architecture.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Test and debug software programs to ensure functionality, security, and usability, implementing necessary modifications and updates.
- Maintain and modify existing software applications and databases, ensuring compatibility with evolving requirements and technology changes.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.
- Design and update software databases, including data models, schemas, and access controls.
- Develop and implement data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports to track program performance and present actionable insights.
- Install, customize, and integrate commercial software packages, ensuring seamless integration with existing OHWS systems.
- Provide technical support to OHWS team members, government stakeholders, and end-users, addressing software and database issues.
- Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions for data management system users.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data management needs and create customized tools and instruments.
- Contribute to the ongoing data architecture management, including system scaling, performance optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure data security measures are implemented and maintained throughout the data lifecycle, complying with relevant cybersecurity policies.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Additionally, be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient understanding and working knowledge of computer, e-mail, voice mail, and telephone texts to perform duties.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; capable of working independently with ability to multitask successfully.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must meet minimum requirements per the assigned workforce role 422 - Data Analyst in the intermediate proficiency level IAW DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
- Minimum 3+ years' data mining and 4+ years in a data analyst role.
- Must has a favorable Tier 3 (T3) security investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Any advanced related certifications.
