The Role: Manages all departmental projects, oversees the work of the Slot Tech department and the functionality of the maintenance of the slot machines, within a regulatory framework. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Slot Technical department. Supports, administers, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Create effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provides recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
- Development and implements an effective strategy for growth and efficiency of maintenance operations in the Slot Technical Department
- Regularly reviews and evaluates slot maintenance, departmental performance, slot performance and takes the appropriate steps in resolving unsatisfactory results or conditions
- Assures smooth and effective operation of all slot maintenance operations. implements machine compliance with approved property policy and rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission
- Conducts monthly review of all machines for profitability and player appeal making any immediate changes as necessary
- Coordinates slot machine moves and conversions with slot manufacturers and appropriate in-house personnel
- Responsible for the development and implementation of all departmental maintenance training programs
- Recommend and Provide analysis and revenue growth potential of each slot machine
- Implement and monitor established cost-containment/budgetary controls
- Enforces performance standards, policies, and procedures as they relate to his/her area of manageability
- Sets priorities for slot technician providing guidance and assistance as needed
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the department by interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating employees as needed
- Through observation, evaluation, and preventive maintenance schedules, keeps all equipment in a functional state of repair Monitors the performance of all outside services and the execution of all maintenance contracts
- Initiates and maintains communication with subordinates, employees, management, and other departments.
- Coordinates efforts directly with the IT Department on issues concerning Slot Accounting system.
- Responsible for data input into the EGDS system for machine movement, conversions, tournaments, and EPROM submissions to Missouri Gaming Commission on a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a slot tech capacity, with one year in a supervisory position
- Knowledge of the Missouri Gaming Commission internal controls preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Table Games operating systems.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
