Position Overview: The Fleet Operations Associate performs work in support of the Transportation and Fleet Services department of Duquesne Light Company. The position will focus on providing and maintaining safe and effective vehicles for use by our field teams in services of our customers. The position will administrate all fleet systems and procurement strategies, monitor current market trends of fleet vehicles, assist with budgets, and policy and procedure documentation.

Location: Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities:



  • Primary admin user for fleet maintenance system
  • Fleet telematics systems administration
  • EV Charging Infrastructure administration
  • Fleet GPS and camera system administration
  • Coordinate execution of EHS initiatives and plan safety meetings for Fleet personnel
  • Assist in the documentation of SOPs for Fleet operations and coordinate training
  • Provide data analysis on fleet KPIs to drive strategy and efficiency improvements
  • Report on fuel usage, idling, and general fleet utilization for ESG Scope 1 performance
  • Oversee E-Z Pass usage for fleet
  • Coordinate fleet vehicle lease programs
  • Plan training programs for fleet staff for trade certifications and on equipment usage
  • Execute fuel ordering and fuel card administration for fleet
  • Assist in the planning of fleet support for emergency Mutual Assistance trips
  • May also serve as back up to the Fleet supervisory team



Education/ Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required such as Business, Transportation, Logistics preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience



Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:



  • Solid math skills adequate for KPI reporting and departmental budget management
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skilled at data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-directed, and adaptable

Scope: Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically, accountable for managing one's own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed

Decision Impact: Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents.

Hybrid Work: Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.

Storm Roles: All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Please be sure to discuss storm roles with the hiring manager for this position, as duties can vary across the Company. Examples of storm roles could include but aren't limited to duties such as: working with operations for service center support or with the communications, customer service or government affairs teams to respond to public and customer requests for information, etc.

Data Governance: Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
