Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 Depends on Experience

*This position will be located in Orange County, Southern California

Summary

The Information Security Technical Analyst will have hands-on responsibility for managing, maintaining, and implementing security software solutions. You will work closely with our managed security company that monitors our environment. You must have a strong knowledge in cyber security methodology and continually mitigate potential threats to prevent both outside and internal attacks on the company's Information Technology (IT) networks. You will address cyber-attacks based on analytics, alerts and incidents identified by our security service provider and/or our internal security monitoring systems.

Essential Responsibilities

Collaborate with our managed security service company to mitigate malicious cybersecurity incidents against the digital assets of the company.



  • Monitor and maintain all cyber security protocols for the enterprise.
  • Implement and contribute to the development of data/network security policies as needed
  • Assess the need for security reconfiguration (minor and significant) and execute them as required.
  • Monitor and maintain current knowledge of emerging security alerts, issues, threats, and trends.
  • Monitor security administrations to ensure best practices.
  • Present findings, reports and solutions to senior IT management.
  • Coordinate and provide technical updates to IT management throughout incident management cycles.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of key Cybersecurity topics.
  • Keep current with new intrusion methods and develop protection plans.
  • Make and implement recommendations as needed.
  • Perform any other job duties as assigned.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security or another related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years direct Information security or Cybersecurity experience
  • Relevant experience working on enterprise security projects
  • Preferred: Microsoft Azure security experience



Skills



  • Experience with developing and managing incident response plans and runbooks
  • Experience with organizational change management for security policies
  • Have an in-depth understanding of vulnerabilities, data systems management, and common security applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with antivirus, firewall and security software concepts
