Summary: In this role, we are seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Cloud and Infrastructure Governance Lead. You will establish and manage governance frameworks to ensure our cloud and IT infrastructure operations align with strategic business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will work cross-functionally with IT, security, operations, and business teams to drive a culture of accountability, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Governance Framework Development: Design, implement, and continuously refine policies, standards, and procedures for cloud and IT infrastructure governance.
- Ensure that all cloud provisioning, management, and operational processes adhere to established governance frameworks.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Lead efforts in risk assessment and mitigation for cloud environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or relevant local requirements.
- Coordinate internal audits and external assessments to verify adherence to governance protocols.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT, security, and operations teams to embed governance best practices into daily operations.
- Communicate governance policies and guidelines effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and governance metrics to monitor cloud resource usage, cost efficiency, and security posture.
- Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management on governance effectiveness and compliance status.
- Vendor and Third-Party Management: Oversee relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to ensure they comply with internal governance standards.
- Negotiate and review contracts to include necessary governance and compliance clauses.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, governance trends, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt governance frameworks.
- Recommend and implement strategic initiatives for process optimization and risk reduction.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud computing and IT infrastructure management with a strong emphasis on governance, risk and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead governance initiatives within cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT) and practical experience in applying them.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable insights for a diverse audience.

Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
