Cyber Security Analyst I

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for helping to reduce cyber risk and protecting the organization's information assets by performing daily cyber security operations and providing expert analysis to identify and remediate potential threats. The successful candidate will monitor and analyze network, email, vulnerability, and anti-virus tools to detect and respond to security incidents and propose technical controls to address identified weaknesses. Additionally, the Cyber Security Analyst will assist in the management of third-party risk, ensuring that vendor and supplier relationships do not introduce unacceptable cyber risk to the organization. The goal of this role is to provide proactive and reactive cyber security support to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information assets.

• The Cyber Security Analyst will perform a variety of activities to support the organization's cyber security efforts, including:
• Providing end-user support by investigating and responding to phishing reports and monitoring the reported suspicious email mailbox to identify and mitigate potential email-based threats.
• Collaborating with the procurement team, business owners, and suppliers to maintain an up-to-date third-party risk management program, including:
• Reviewing and updating scope changes and modifications to vendor tiering risk
• Evaluating vendor security certifications and security programs
• Assessing risk from intelligence sources
• Perform outreach to vendors when unacceptable risk is observed
• Supporting security projects and initiatives by gathering and analyzing data, and working with the team to reduce exposure risk and improve overall cyber security posture
• Participating in a weekly primary and secondary on-call rotation to provide timely response to security incidents and issues
• Assisting in the development and delivery of the organization's cyber security training program to educate end-users on cyber security best practices and threats
• Collaborating with other team members to achieve cyber security objectives, including providing support and guidance on security-related matters, and contributing to the overall success of the cyber security team
