As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, Astronaut Concierge & Launch Logistics Specialist is focused on providing attentive, courteous, and efficient support to astronauts and to their guests, from pre-arrival to post-departure.In addition, the Astronaut Concierge/Operations Specialist supports the astronaut experience, sales, media, operations and other internal business teams in ensuring successful operations and the highest levels of safety and customer satisfaction. This will include supporting logistics and execution of events, both internal and external. Passion for our mission and vision is required! We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform logistics and administrative job duties relating to space launches, national and international special events, ranging from 2 - 6,000 attendees.
- Interact on regular cadence with Astronaut customers
- Manage complex calendars across business units within Blue Origin
- Liaising and contract negotiating with vendors. Working closely with internal procurement and AP teams to ensure appropriate contract terms are met and followed.
- Develop internal documentation and review contracts and proposals to ensure agreed commitments and accountability; escalate as needed. Working with Procurement and AP leadership to ensure that all obligations are met with vendors domestically and internationally.
- Oversee the attendee registration websites, communications, program and attendee support.
- Develop and ensure travel plans, itineraries, and agendas for internal and external customers
- Compile accurate documentation for travel-related events including airfare, transportation, hotels, conference centers, restaurants, etc.
- Partner with external event planners, vendors and with suppliers in providing best-in-class service.
- Manage projects independently and/or in teams, from conception to completion and often with conflicting priorities
- Ensure timely and accurate submittals of expense report.
- Handling post-event reports, measuring impact and ROI
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times, and only disseminate information as needed.
- Using strong organizational skills, perform and prioritize multiple calendars and events while prioritizing conflicting needs.
- Work with and task cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization including our Executive Leadership team, to drive projects to completion across teams and time zones.
- Handle matters expeditiously and proactively, following through on requirements to successful completion, often with deadline pressures. Adapt to competing demands
- Handle amenity requests for all VIP clients. Ensure that all arrangements, are handled properly, coordinating with other departments through oral and written instructions
- Support other astronaut initiatives and perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills, Education, Experience:
- A self-starter lead with ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional business relationships and a provide a superior level of customer support
- Must have a high level of autonomy while working to achieve goals while also being a collaborator with cross functional teams.
- Will be required to develop budgets for events with leadership and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
- Comfortable with public speaking, orienting customers and with public presentations
- Proficiency Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, internal software packages) and Smartsheet, Outlook, Teams, Zoom
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- 3-6+ years of hospitality/events management experience. Large conference management preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum)
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Work environment and conditions of employment:
- Kent, WA based employee with 50-70% domestic and international business travel
- Extended work schedule with early starts and late work hours, weekends and holidays
- Ideal for self-starters and event planners comfortable working in fast-paced and dynamic work environments as well as with high-profile customers
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $130,518.00-$182,724.15
