Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a Immunology Technicianto support the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $69,000 - $75,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Responsibilities:





  • Employee shall be trained in and perform animal manipulations in support of approximately 10 animal studies in ABSL-2 and ABSL-3 per year.
  • Employee shall participate in animal studies, by preparing and administering antibiotics, vaccines, immunomodulators, monoclonal antibodies, etc., orally and by intraperitoneal, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous bolus injections. Contractor shall perform animal health exams, collect small animal fluid and tissue samples, and ensure study conduct remains in compliance with IACUC approved protocols.
  • Employee shall participate in weekly lab meetings and assist in development and design of current and future in vitro and in vivo work. May be requested to present poster at 1 scientific conference which may require local or CONUS travel and work to be performed outside normal business hours.
  • Participate in BSL-2 and BSL-3 immunological studies; to include ELISpot (approximately 30 per year), ELISA (approximately 200 per year), Luminex assays (approximately 50 per year) and other protocols as needed.
  • Employee shall complete approximately 50 media/reagent preparations per year.
  • Employee shall assist with approximately 5 animal challenges per year and prepare 30 bacterial challenge preparations.
  • Employee shall perform approximately 400 animal injections per year; 400 animal observations per year.
  • Employee shall complete approximately 250 bacterial burdens in organ tissue per year.
  • Employee shall perform approximately 125 Animal Necropsies per year.
  • Employee shall place approximately 50 GFEBs orders per year for supplies and equipment.
  • Employee shall maintain laboratories in BSL-2 and BSL-3.
  • Employee shall perform or assist with BSAT Inventory Management (to include applicable BSAT working stock material).
  • Employee shall conduct or assist with Equipment Inventory Management twice a year in BSL-2 and BSL-3.
  • Employee shall perform or assist with monthly Laboratory Management to include safety functions and chemical inventory.
  • CS-PRP enrollment is required and will be held and maintained IAW the provisions in this contract and all applicable regulations.
  • BPRP enrollment is required and will be held and maintained IAW the provisions in this contract and all applicable regulations.
