Additionally, our fuel and convenience division, pharmacy, in-house grocery warehouse and distribution center, in-house Central Bakery, in-house Fresh Foods Commissary, and Tops Cleaners are significant assets to our operations. Overview

Coborn's Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing organization! As an HRBP in our innovative and evolving company, you will act as a strategic partner to our one of our company districts! You will serve as a consultant to our location leadership team and educate on HR retailed issues and assist the business to develop on the deliverable accordingly. Aside form consulting with the business, you will service as a leader to HR Generalists and Coordinators with the District you support!

This HRBP role is a great opportunity for you to grow in your HR career! You will become an employee champion while managing the employee life cycle, from onboarding with the company to the exit. You will support workforce planning, talent development and succession planning efforts throughout the district.

Requirements

Additional Duties Include:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues within designated district. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Work closely with leadership teams and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Provide day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions).
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to designated HR team within district in the ongoing execution of HR Essentials.
  • Partner with Director of Operations to partner to proactively identify and track talent needs, develop and implement recruitment, and advertising strategies that will effectively place talent within the store. Provide guidance on employment terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers. Oversee and drive new store staffing strategies and all store new hire training/onboarding. Analyze metrics to identify staffing needs and develop and implement retention strategies
  • Identify succession training needs for district and individual leadership needs. Conduct career mapping conversations and prepare formal documentation associated with the ongoing development of department manager level leadership. Create and facilitate training programs, presentations, and documented procedures to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of all employees and leadership in compliance with company, state, or federal laws. Lead the district development programs to ensure we have a strong bench of leaders. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with designated district HR team as needed/required. Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provide partnership and guidance to Operations and other business areas on organizational restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with designated HR district team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
