These facilities include but are not limited to service centers, data centers, contact centers, office buildings, shops, warehouses, construction and equipment yards, vehicle maintenance garages, and meeting and training facilities. Regional Workplace Strategy Principal Position Summary Leads regional real estate workplace strategy to solicit demand signals from PG&E functional areas and transition workplace demand into phased investment to provide adequate workspace supply to support planned operations. Responsible for ongoing portfolio optimization that resets, realigns, adds, or reduces existing workspaces as needed to fulfill Company objectives. Acts as project manager for strategic initiatives including real estate transactions. Drives projects, programs, and initiatives through required discretionary permit processes. Proactively and consistently develops and matures relationships throughout the Company to allow for ongoing discourse to determine workplace demand. Works together with other CRESS facets to identify, prioritize, and support incremental projects and programs to increase the coworker workplace experience. Responsible for safe, timely, compliant, and quality project planning and forecasting. Collaborates with stakeholders to translate business needs and workplace requirements into real estate solutions (projects), aligned with long-term business and real estate portfolio strategic plans. Serves as a liaison between regional and functional area management and CRESS. Understands functional area business needs to codevelop solutions to achieve Company operational objectives through workplace investment. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need approximately 3-4 days per week.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $136,000 Bay Area Maximum: $232,000 California Minimum: $129,000 California Maximum: $220,000 Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of overall regional workplace strategy and developing incremental programs and/or projects to implement strategic elements to support planned operations.
- Accountable for project scoping and initiation through planning/analysis to allow the CRESS portfolio planning team to develop project requirements including appropriate information to inform project design, construction, and closeout. Works with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and project teams to define scope, budget, schedule, and resource needs.
- Leads and builds consensus with CRESS teams and Functional Area key stakeholders.
- Works on developing site plans identifying key requirements through project planning, such as type and amount of space, workplace amenities, technology, security, etc. and overseeing development of target value designs aligned with workplace design guidelines.
- Effectively leads and manages, pre-project planning, conceptual studies, business case development, defining project objectives and desired outcomes, project governance and execution.
- Accountable for and provides continuous guidance to project teams relative to project governance, reporting, budgeting, cost and schedule control, change management and communications, safety culture, risk management and project/design standards compliance.
- Manage client relationships with project business sponsors to set appropriate expectations and deliver on commitments.
- Promotes innovation, standardization, efficiency, affordability, and continuous improvement.
- Applies best practices in planning, design, construction, sustainability, project delivery and total cost of ownership.
- Acts as thought leader, applying extensive subject matter expertise in resolution of sensitive or difficult issues; anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions.
- Continuously explores opportunities to optimize workplace to achieve efficiencies and company objectives.
- Manages external consultants and/or third-party contractors for project planning and transactions and informally directs and counsel other CRESS functions.
- Will act as the key contact within CRESS for Functional Areas to understand, develop, communicate, coordinate, and deliver short- and long-term real estate strategies, site plans, and solutions. Maintains in-depth knowledge of Functional Area real estate needs, and current and future workplace requirements to support operations and serve PG&E's hometowns.
Qualifications Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in job-related discipline such as architecture, engineering, business, finance, economics
- 10 years' experience in the real estate, corporate services, construction, or architectural/design/engineering fields, or related experience
- 3-5 years' experience with California Environmental Quality Act requirements
- 3-5 years' experience as project manager for real estate transactions and/or projects

- MCR-Master of Corporate Real Estate certification
- Project Management Institute certification or equivalent
- Post graduate degree in business, economics, finance, or related field
