Under general direction, the Learning Coordinator will assist in the delivery and coordination of online learning experiences for animal shelter professionals in a national online animal shelter educational program for the Koret Shelter Medicine Program (KSMP) at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The role supports the creation and delivery of educational content, the facilitation of online learning experiences, and provides technical and learner support during course offerings to reach statewide and national target audiences, spread emerging best practices in the animal sheltering industry, and create communities of practice for animal shelter professionals. Work closely with subject matter experts as they create and deliver high quality, engaging and impactful content and educational experiences and most importantly support participants in their learning experience.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
- No minimum work experience required.
- Working knowledge of adult educational program delivery and learner support.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow timelines and respond to direction as well as complete assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills used for public speaking and other communications to effectively communicate ideas in a professional and pleasant manner with a diverse population.
- Knowledge of the technical tools and platforms required to achieve the delivery of engaging and media-rich online learning content, and of trends in the use and effectiveness of educational technology and learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the animal sheltering or animal welfare field.
- Experience using LMS platforms (Cypher Learning or other similar), project management and team communications tools (Notion, Asana, and/or similar), content creation and editing tools (Articulate Rise, PowerPoint, Camtasia, etc.).
- Experience providing technical support to learners or managing online learning logistics.
- Experience with knowledge management, data management and data analysis.
