     | Brief Summary of Work for this Position | The School of Nursing, located within the College of Health and Human Services, is seeking 
       temporary/part time faculty, for clinical teaching in the prelicensure nursing program to create a pool for 
       advance and short-notice teaching assignments based on program demand for the 
       2025-2026 Academic Year.

     | Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Undergraduate course teaching: Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution.
       
 Graduate course teaching: Terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
 
 Those with equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures in the discipline may also be considered.

     | Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The School of Nursing (
       SON) within the College of Health and Human Services (
       CHHS) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (
       UNCW) has an outstanding legacy of serving the people of southeastern North Carolina through education, scholarship, and service. The 
       SON is dedicated to excellence in the development of healthcare professionals through in-depth education, professional partnerships, applied research, regional engagement, and community outreach and impact. The 
       SON is a National League of Nursing Center of Excellence in Nursing Education, specifically in the area of promoting the pedagogical expertise of faculty. The 
       SON is located in McNeill Hall, a state-of-the-art facility that includes offices, classrooms, a large lecture hall, computer laboratories, student success areas and learning commons, and the Simulation Learning Center. The Simulation Learning Center uses high, medium, and low-fidelity human patient simulators as teaching and learning tools for nursing education. Through the use of simulation, we strive to create a realistic environment and a powerful learning experience that promotes the cognitive, affective, physical, and social development of the student as well as the incorporation of inter-professional collaborative experiences for students across the degree programs in the College.  Over 2,400 students are enrolled in programs within the 
       SON. The 
       SON has over 80 full-time faculty and employs over 60 part-time faculty per semester. |
