Job Overview & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for interpreting, planning, and executing NDT policies, procedures, and methods in all site NDT methods.
  • Responsible for the NDT training program and qualifications of NDT employees.
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Adheres to implementation methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Performs the design or specification of inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Continuously monitors quality data and processes for improvement opportunities across the business unit. Works with the business unit strategic group to select, manage, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications



  • Minimum 6 years applicable experience in the associated technical or administrative area, project management or team lead experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Project Management or Team Lead experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with NDT methods, including the interpretation, planning, and execution of NDT procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Experience scheduling multiple shifts around production needs.
  • Experience in managing training requirements and certifications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office, (Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Working knowledge of ULA applications, (Inspection Call Board, Q-notes, Teamcenter).
