Responsible for implementing and maintaining Ladder Tower's quality management system, root cause analysis problem solving, and ISO 9000 initiatives to ensure that it is implemented and maintained in accordance with Ladder Tower's daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set quality compliance objectives and department goals that support business initiatives, ensure that targets are achieved.
  • Build a customer centric culture that ensures delivery of products that meets customer requirements, exceeds customer expectations, and comply with all specifications.
  • Obtain feedback from customers on areas of satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Ensure customer complaints are effectively resolved and develop action items to improve marketplace success.

  • Manage, Organize, build, and continually improve the quality infrastructure to maintain Ladder Tower's Quality Management System.
  • Manage and maintain quality inspection, test, and validation programs for in-process, and finished goods.
  • Establish, review, approve, revise, implement, maintain, and control the quality management system, as applicable to Ladder Tower's quality objectives and operations.
  • Authority/organizational freedom to enforce the controls established by the Ladder Tower's quality management system.
  • Implements and improves upon ISO efforts.
  • Lead lean/continuous improvement activities for Quality processes. Support other departments with their lean/continuous improvement activities. Must be change agent and ambassador for continuous improvement.
  • Direct, control and staff the Quality department. Evaluate and verify employee performance. Identify staff development and training needs. Provide employee coaching and development or otherwise ensure training is obtained.
  • Provide liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, regulatory auditors, client's third party, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain employee-training programs related to quality.
  • Develop and implement internal quality audits program, including scheduling and assignment of qualified personnel to conduct the internal audit.
  • Provide technical review and approval of Ladder Tower's suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintenance and archiving of quality system documents and company quality records.
  • Coordinate management reviews as a member of the management review board.
  • Provide the identification, control, maintenance, and calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment utilized to verify the conformity of Ladder Tower's products.
  • Respond to customer complaints by directing containment, root cause investigations, corrective action and follow up and resolution with the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on quality and leadership experience required in manufacturing, preferably in the customized vehicle industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality systems such as PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, APQP, 8D, Control Plan, ISO9000 is required.
  • Experience with product maintenance and testing, quality and industry standards such as ISO 9001, NFPA, FAA, ASTM, etc. preferred.
  • Must have exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Must have exceptional communication abilities.
  • Must be a well-organized self-starter who is able to meet deadlines.
  • Team facilitation and leadership skills required.
