CTI has a rapidly growing Environmental Practice and Remediation Team. We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm and a sense of ownership to help build and fill out the Practice. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field sampling of soil, water, ash, and hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with DOE, DoD, and commercial contract standards.
- Assist in carrying out conventional engineering/scientific tasks (e.g., permit preparation; simple document preparation; boring log preparation; data review)
- Assist in the development of and completes field tasks (e.g., Site reviews; assessments; sampling; remediation related tasks - system installation, operation and upgrading - and other field services).
- Operate and maintain environmental monitoring equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning during field activities.
- Assist in the collection, labeling, and transportation of environmental samples for laboratory analysis.
- Perform environmental inspections and assessments, documenting field observations and identifying potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements during field and laboratory activities.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports by compiling and analyzing field data and contributing to findings.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and environmental scientists to complete project tasks on time and within budget.
- Troubleshoot basic issues with environmental equipment in the field and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Participate in training sessions and ensure familiarity with the latest environmental technologies and methodologies.
- Assist in regulatory compliance activities, ensuring all environmental work meets local, state, and federal guidelines.

Education, Experience and Requirements
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in environmental fieldwork or as an environmental technician (required).
- Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques and equipment (required).
- Familiarity with DOE, DoD, EPA, and OSHA environmental regulations (preferred).
- Experience in fieldwork documentation and data entry (preferred).
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
