YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Solution Architect role in our Merriam, KS office. The Solution Architect demonstrates a high degree of competency in overall solution guidance based on a broad understanding of the business needs, current solutions, technology strategies, IT standards, and security requirements. Interfaces between business areas and within IT to collaboratively define solutions aligned across the architecture disciplines and governs their development. Develops strategies, roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices. This position acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, innovator, and change agent.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provides leadership while working collaboratively to understand and document business needs.
  • Creates current and future state solution diagrams that effectively align stakeholders and ensures that solutions are aligned across architecture disciplines.
  • Governs development of solutions.
  • Develops strategies, roadmaps, standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Maintains catalogs of key IT assets.
  • Performs architectural assessments independently.
  • Works on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Fosters team interaction, boosts employee motivation and appreciates team contribution

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on design and implementation of solutions
  • Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Livestock, Energy
  • Experience in some of the following: sales and marketing, supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics and transportation, procurement and plant maintenance, food safety and quality assurance, breeding and animal welfare, environmental resource management, finance, accounting, HR, etc.
  • Experience working with the business and IT building strategies and roadmaps
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture artifacts, standardization, and governance processes
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, ...)
  • Familiarity with diverse technologies: Cloud/SaaS/On-premise, virtualization, ERPs, custom development, integrations, reporting platforms, databases, servers, O365 platform, load balancers, web servers, security technologies, backup and DR, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Advanced abilities using PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
  • Known reputation for integrity and ethics
