YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Transportation Assessment and Compliance Supervisor opportunity in Guymon, OK. The Transportation Assessment and Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to biosecurity principles, animal handling procedures, and all transportation procedures across the organization. Leading and overseeing the assessment of these processes along with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business operations, optimize compliance, and increase overall efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Conducts assessments for all transportation departments both inside and outside of farms or truck wash facilities.
  • Provide training and corrective actions found during assessments to employees on site and transportation management as necessary.
  • Ensure that all biosecurity and animal handling protocols are followed across the company.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained in a manner that supports biosecurity and animal handling protocols.
  • Ensures the company stays up to date with the latest biosecurity trends and technologies and implements new ideas.
  • Provides guidance and support during disease outbreaks and biosecurity incidents.
  • Promotes a culture of safety and biosecurity across the company.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure continuous improvement initiatives align with overall business strategy.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; preferably in animal science, veterinary science, or two or more years of related experience and/or 2 years of experience in biosecurity or related field.


  • A clear and valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR) required.
  • Ability to travel as needed.


Preferred:



  • Experience in hog production or other livestock production.
  • Knowledge of biosecurity and animal handling principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred but not required.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel to multiple production sites throughout the states we operate in. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but sometimes very loud. The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.
