Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment for all visitors and staff. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will also provide excellent customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate: $14.10 / Hour

Day Time
Tue 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
Wed 09:00 PM - 01:00 AM

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and granting access only to authorized individuals.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or policy violations according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when required, following established communication procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to visitors and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions only.
  • A valid driver's license that meets AU Driver Policy requirements is required for driving positions only.
  • At least 6 months of security experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
