The Tech Labor Strategy and Talent Programs team plays a vital role in supporting enterprise labor planning. We collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to develop strategies that align with Tech's business and labor priorities through effective program management and project implementation.

This role involves developing and executing complex solutions across our labor planning initiatives. The successful candidate will effectively partner with teams across Tech, HR, and Finance to create impactful strategies and programs that enhance our function and benefit the broader organization.

We are looking for someone with a proven history of building strong business partnerships, exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, experience with complex analysis, and the ability to manage multiple critical priorities effectively. Experience in developing presentations for executive audiences and communicating insights through data is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to lead the development and implementation of strategic labor programs

  • Identify root causes and develop problem solving frameworks grounded in data

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the internal and external markets to identify workforce opportunities and risks

  • Gain a deep understanding of prioritization and the delivery roadmap, proactively identifying cross-functional dependencies to manage potential obstacles

  • Influence cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive progress across the organization

  • Partner with communications teams to enhance our organizational brand and showcase the impact of our strategic initiatives

  • Craft and manage actionable, outcome driven OKRs

  • Collaborate with leadership on new projects to determine feasibility and develop project and implementation plans

  • Support communication and change management efforts to support well-managed delivery while minimizing organizational disruption

  • Balance leading and consulting on critical projects as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 7 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Program Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders and leaders across the company

  • Strong business acumen, influencing capabilities, leadership qualities, and integrity

  • Highly proactive with a strong sense of initiative and ownership, capable of working independently on complex and sensitive tasks

  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and mediation skills, fostering an environment of open communication and collaboration

  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to follow-through

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Confidence to advocate for ideas, even when they may be unpopular with senior leaders

  • Aptitude for learning and quickly understanding key topics and organizational dynamics

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $226,000 - $257,900 for Director, Chief of Staff Richmond, VA: $205,400 - $234,400 for Director, Chief of Staff

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
