Your Impact
You will provide your knowledge and expertise to top managers at client organizations.
In this role you will have the opportunity to be an entrepreneur, identifying new opportunities to help clients make lasting improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals.
You will coach, lead, and advise consultants as they develop, framing business problems in a way that they can take action to solve. You will join teams in problem solving sessions and be a thought partner to engagement managers on both team and client management.

As an associate partner, you will:
  • receive training and coaching on how to better:
  • lead teams and clients through challenges in an inclusive, empathetic way;
  • coach and sponsor others;
  • command attention with all audiences using a variety of techniques;
  • structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them.
Your Growth
You will typically lead multiple teams of 3-5 consultants and will help our clients in the Advanced Industries and Aerospace & Defense sectors solve some of their most pressing problems with Strategy & Performance.
You will work with a range of experts in the firm, from consultants to data scientists to researchers to software and app designers.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Undergraduate degree required, master's degree in business, organizational development, operations or related disciplines preferred
  • Prior experience as a consultant in a professional services firm required
  • 10+ years of work experience after graduate school, focused in people and organizational challenges within the Advanced Industries and Aerospace & Defense sectors
  • Entrepreneurial drive to develop new client relationships and generate business development opportunities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to break down and solve business problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
  • Publication of knowledge or thought leadership in your industry space is a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local office language(s)

is $243,000 - $249,000 USD -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest
[salary/hourly wages] for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important
to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
