Seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Finance Manager to join Watts Water Technologies and act as the Finance Leader for the America's Commercial Finance Team and Finance Business Partner to the Fluid Solutions General Manager. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, this individual will be responsible for performance in the key areas of commercial excellence, operational effectiveness and operating profit. Core competencies for this position will include, but are not limited to, servicing internal customers with Monthly Operating Reviews, Forecasting, Budgeting, Strategic Planning and New Product Development, all of which, requires an ability to navigate complex datasets to prepare meaningful information that will drive informed decision making, respond to finance deliverables and establish business performance metrics that accurately measure the health of the Platform's business. This individual will also be expected to work cross-functionally to identify areas of improvement in processes, influence change, identify waste and implement best practice. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Monitor, analyze, investigate, and report variances to budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Provide meaningful, timely financial analysis of business performance and opportunities.
- Coordinate the development of annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plans.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecast updates.
- Compile and maintain operational metrics (KPI's).
- Proactively seek out continuous improvements in existing processes to drive productivity/ efficiencies.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and prepares various ad-hoc reports.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP and Watts Accounting Policies and Procedures.
- Lead the financial modeling and analysis, as well as the cross-functional coordination of investments, for all New Product Development initiatives. Track investment progress for all initiatives, and lead action planning strategies for over/under investment.
- Partner with business leaders on Pro-Forma financial analysis for strategic decision making (product line exits, pricing strategy, make vs buy, etc). Lead financial analysis and effectively present results to Management.
- Review and Approve month-end Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations as appropriate
- Partner with Platform leaders to optimize Inventory and CAPEX investments. Perform regular reviews of balance sheet metrics (Inventory Turns, Inventory Value, ROIC), and develop action plans to maximize Free Cash Flow.
- Annually, partner with the Platform Leadership Team on the development of a 5-year Strategic Plan.
- Conduct Customer Profitability and Product Profitability reviews with key stakeholders, including Platform Leads and Sales Team Leads. Identify opportunities for profitability improvement, and drive action plan to execute on improvement opportunities.
- Provide leadership and career development for direct and indirect reports. Effectively manage all formal leadership requirements for Watts' performance management processes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS / BA in Accounting / Finance or related BS / BA degree with equivalent experience. MBA / CMA a plus.
- 8+ years of Experience in a similar role within finance or accounting for a manufacturing company.
- Experience managing complex product portfolios within a multi-channel distribution model across multiple countries
- Ability to effectively manage a large, complex, matrixed stakeholder group across varying levels of the organization (entry level through SVP).
- Prior experience working in a finance partner capacity to Manufacturing, Distribution, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to various levels of management.
- Capable of effectively manipulating and organizing large amounts of data.
- Self-motivated, problem solver with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task and rearrange priorities as needed
- Must be flexible and able to accurately work under time constraints and deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of the financial statements with strong business acumen.
- Strong analytical / modeling skills a plus. Advanced Excel skills a plus.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, QAD, PowerBi or Tableau preferred.
- Excellent communicator with an ability to interact with all levels of the Watts organization
