Wyman-Gordon Pennsylvania, a division of Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC), is a manufacturing leader of Flash Welded and Cold Rolled near net shaped rings for the Gas Turbine Industry. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a Process Engineering position for the Mountaintop facility located in Northeast Pennsylvania. This position is responsible for assisting with Process review, maintaining AS9100 Weld certifications, identifying and implementing value-added projects in the areas of process control, and optimization. This position works on troubleshooting and improving existing processes and developing new ones. The position requires providing innovative solutions into all phases of manufacturing processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Process engineer will determine manufacturing process and specify all manufacturing dimensions, tolerances and processing route, also will design and provide the necessary tooling and methods used in the manufacturing process, including outside service responsibility for both tooling and product. Specific Responsibilities - Responsible for determining operations to produce product and develop processes to ensure quality, cost, increase productivity, and reduce cycle time and scrap. - Reviews blueprints and customer documents. - Assists in the acceptance or rejection of deviated material.
Role has no direct supervisory responsibility. The Process Engineer actively interacts with Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and Purchasing departments. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
Normal Working Conditions Travel between the Mountaintop and Tru-Form locations is required. The amount of time spent between each site will change on a weekly basis dependent on the needs of the business. While performing the duties of this position the employee is occasionally required to walk and stand for moderate periods. Much time will be spent sitting in an office environment requiring frequent computer use. Employee may be required to occasionally lift up to 35#.
