Our new operation in Hudson, WI is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team!

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting First Article Inspections on new components and providing feedback to the Engineering Team along with conducting XRF for product compliance and various mechanical testing to ensure specifications are met.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct accurate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports with supporting evidence and work with design engineers for timely disposition.
  • Create and conduct incoming and final inspection plans on various fiber optic components and products using the SAP system.
  • Organize filing of Certificates of Conformance (COCs) and other supplier documentation/records.
  • Facilitate the development of measurement plans/methods. Own necessary gauges and inspection fixtures. Perform Measurement System Analysis, Capability Studies, and statistical analysis for Tool/Process Qualification.
  • Perform industry and various testing on parts to confirm requirements and customer expectations are met.
  • Apply sound Quality judgment when making and communicating decisions. Contain issues by blocking and holding non-conforming products, leading disposition of held material timely.
  • Assist in scheduling and performing calibration on various gauges and equipment.
  • Support problem-solving (8D's), analysis, and resolution of new product-related customer complaints or internal quality complaints during launch. Prevent repeat issues and improve Product Development Processes to reduce New Products Quality Notifications (QNs).
  • Understand and follow guiding principles, ISO, and EH&S Management Systems by adhering to stated policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement projects/plans to reduce scrap, improve throughput, defect detection, and optimize processes and systems.
  • Travel 5-10%, both domestic and international.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality engineering in a new-product introduction environment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years of experience in Metrology & GDT.
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Experience with Quality Systems (ISO 9001 & 14001), supplier auditing, gauge and fixture design.
This position does not qualify for VISA Sponsorship.

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
