Job Summary

Timely and accurate transporting of medical, clinical and operational supplies, U.S. and inter-departmental mail, medical doses, pharmaceutical orders, patient charts, cash bags, linens, etc to Corewell Health Hospitals and affiliated off-site locations.

Essential Functions
  • Handle secure delivery / return / exchange of numerous healthcare items between hundreds of satellite departments within multiple locations across the Beaumont Health spectrum.

  • Use DOT regulated trucks with liftgates to assist with small office moves, medical equipment transfers, special projects / seasonal events, etcetera, between Beaumont Health locations. Return carts, skids, flat beds from dock areas (straight trucks).

  • Maintain proper fuel and cleanliness of straight trucks and vans.

  • Complete mandatory DOT vehicle inspection reports for straight trucks. Inform management of vehicle repair needs as they occur.

  • Comply with mandatory DOT physicals and random drug / alcohol testing.

  • Attend meetings and perform mandatory on-line testing.

Qualifications

Required

  • Required High School Diploma

  • LIC-Drivers License - Endorsement A (Air Brakes) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire

  • LIC-Commercial Drive License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire

Preferred

  • 1 year of relevant experience Driving
